Basic Low Country Shrimp Boil
A classic low country boil combines shrimp, potatoes, corn, onions, and sausage for a flavorful, hearty meal.

Instructions

In a large stock pot, bring enough water to a boil to just cover your ingredients.

Add red-skinned potatoes and cook for about 20 minutes.

Stir in corn on the cob, onions (if using), and sausages; add more water if needed to just cover all ingredients.

Add the shrimp to the pot, cover, and steam for about 5 minutes until the shrimp are opaque and pink.

Transfer shrimp to a serving bowl and arrange the vegetables and sausage on serving platters.
