Basic Crock Pot Black-Eyed Peas

Instructions

  1. Rinse and sort the black-eyed peas.

  2. Place rinsed peas, sliced onion, minced garlic, black pepper, and water into a slow cooker.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours (or 3 hours on high).

  4. Stir in salt, taste, and adjust seasoning as needed.

  5. Continue cooking for 15 to 20 minutes, then stir well before serving.
