Baked Tofu in Thai Peanut Sauce

A super easy vegetarian and vegan dish, this Thai-inspired tofu is baked in a savory peanut sauce, reminiscent of satay.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a baking tray with aluminum foil.

  2. Press the tofu, then cut it into desired shapes.

  3. Whisk together the slightly melted peanut butter, ginger, lime or orange juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, maple syrup, and sweet chili sauce; adjust seasonings to taste.

  4. Coat all sides of the tofu pieces with the prepared peanut sauce.

  5. Bake the tofu for 15 to 17 minutes, then turn the pieces and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, monitoring to prevent burning.
