Baked Thai Chili-Garlic Shrimp

Spicy Thai-style shrimp, coated in a chili-garlic sauce and broiled quickly, offer an excellent party appetizer.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to a broil setting.

  2. Peel shrimp, leaving tails on, then butterfly each by making a shallow cut down the back.

  3. Process all remaining ingredients in a food processor to create a chili-garlic sauce.

  4. Toss shrimp with the sauce in a bowl and marinate for 5 minutes.

  5. Arrange shrimp on a baking sheet and broil on the top rack for 3 to 4 minutes until sizzling, then flip, spoon over any extra marinade, and broil for another 3 to 4 minutes until opaque.

  6. Garnish with lime wedges and fresh cilantro.
