Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F (165 C).

  2. Line a baking pan with foil. Prepare ribs by removing silverskin, patting dry, cutting into portions, and seasoning with salt and pepper.

  3. Arrange ribs in the pan, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 1 hour. Drain excess fat.

  4. While ribs bake, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, vinegar, ketchup, pineapple, and soy sauce in a saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.

  5. Increase oven temperature to 350 F (180 C). Brush the thickened sauce over the ribs and bake uncovered for 30 minutes, basting often, until fully tender.
