Baked Mac and Cheese With Ham and Broccoli

Preheat the oven to 350 F and butter a shallow 2-quart casserole.

Cook macaroni 2 to 3 minutes less than package directions, then drain.

Steam broccoli until tender, then drain and chop into bite-sized pieces.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.

Stir in flour, green onion, salt, dry mustard, and pepper until blended.

Gradually stir in milk until blended, bring to a boil, then cook and stir for 2 minutes until thickened and bubbly.
