Baked Gefilte Fish in Tomato Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C).

  2. Defrost the gefilte fish loaf for 10 minutes, then unwrap it.

  3. Pour half a can of tomato sauce into a loaf pan; place the fish loaf on top of the sauce.

  4. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the fish loaf and cover the pan with aluminum foil.

  5. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

  6. Cool the fish, then cover and refrigerate.

  7. Serve chilled slices of the fish on lettuce.
