Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.

  2. Season fish fillets on both sides with salt and pepper.

  3. Place seasoned fish in a greased baking pan or on a broiler rack.

  4. Combine breadcrumbs with 2 tablespoons butter and dried thyme; sprinkle this mixture over the fish. Drizzle any remaining butter over the breaded fish.

  5. Bake for 15 to 25 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily and the topping is lightly browned. For thinner fillets, begin checking around 12 minutes.

  6. If the topping is not sufficiently browned, broil for 1 to 2 minutes until golden.

  7. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with lemon wedges and parsley.
