Baked Chicken Karaage Recipe

A lighter version of classic Japanese fried chicken, baked chicken karaage is prepared by marinating and then baking the chicken.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Combine soy sauce, sake, mirin, ginger, and garlic; marinate chicken in this mixture for 15 to 30 minutes, ensuring even coating.

  3. Coat the marinated chicken evenly in potato starch.

  4. Arrange coated chicken in a single layer on a foil-lined, oiled baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until cooked through.

  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
