Bacon Cheese Soup

Instructions

  1. Sauté bacon in a large saucepan until crisp; remove, drain, crumble, and set aside.

  2. Drain all but 2 tablespoons of bacon drippings from the saucepan; melt butter in the pan.

  3. Add carrots and onion, cooking for 3 to 4 minutes until crisp-tender, stirring.

  4. Stir in flour, dry mustard, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce; cook until bubbly for 2 to 3 minutes.

  5. Pour in both milks; cook for about 10 minutes until the soup thickens.

  6. Add cheese, stirring until completely melted.

  7. Stir in the reserved crumbled bacon.
