Bacon Cheese Soup
A quick bacon cheese soup, seasoned with mustard, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce, provides a comforting meal perfect for winter.

Instructions

Sauté bacon in a large saucepan until crisp; remove, drain, crumble, and set aside.

Drain all but 2 tablespoons of bacon drippings from the saucepan; melt butter in the pan.

Add carrots and onion, cooking for 3 to 4 minutes until crisp-tender, stirring.

Stir in flour, dry mustard, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce; cook until bubbly for 2 to 3 minutes.

Pour in both milks; cook for about 10 minutes until the soup thickens.

Add cheese, stirring until completely melted.

Stir in the reserved crumbled bacon.
