Avocado Bacon Breakfast Burger

An ultimate breakfast burger features a sausage-infused patty, melted cheese, egg, bacon, avocado, and a homemade tomato jam on a toasted everything bagel.

Instructions

  1. Heat a grill or cast iron to medium-high.

  2. In a pot, combine tomatoes, sugar, lemon juice, ginger, cumin, cinnamon, curry powder, and salt; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to medium-low and simmer, stirring often, for approximately one hour until the mixture thickens into jam.

  3. While the jam cooks, gently mix beef and sausage, form into patties, and season with salt and pepper. Spray the hot cooking surface and cook the patties for a few minutes per side until fully cooked. Remove from heat and top with gouda.

  4. Prepare remaining burger ingredients and toast an everything bagel until crispy.

  5. Spread both bagel halves with the prepared tomato jam. Layer with the cooked patty, egg, bacon, and avocado, then serve.
