Instructions

  1. Prepare apple and pear by cutting them into large, seedless chunks.

  2. Combine the cut fruit and vodka in a sealed glass jar, then shake well.

  3. Store the jar in a cool, dry place for 3 to 4 days, shaking and tasting daily.

  4. Add a cinnamon stick to the jar one day before the desired flavor is reached; seal, shake, and let set for another day.

  5. Strain out the fruit and cinnamon, then transfer the infused vodka to a sealed bottle.

  6. To make the cocktail, fill a highball glass with ice.

  7. Pour in the infused vodka and simple syrup.

  8. Top with tonic water and stir thoroughly.

  9. Garnish with an apple slice.
