Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water.

  2. Combine all marinade ingredients in a food processor or blender; process, then taste and adjust.

  3. Place beef in a bowl, pour marinade over, stir, cover, and marinate for 1 to 24 hours.

  4. Thread the marinated beef onto the soaked skewers, filling three-quarters of each skewer.

  5. To cook, either grill satay outdoors, basting initially with leftover marinade, or preheat the oven to broil, place skewers on a foil-covered baking sheet, and broil near the heating element, turning every 5 to 6 minutes for 15 to 25 minutes until done.

  6. Serve with rice and peanut dipping sauce.
