Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler to its topmost position; prepare foil pockets on a baking sheet to hold 12 to 24 shucked oysters.

  2. In a small pan, heat 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, and 1 to 2 dashes hot sauce; stir until combined, then remove from heat.

  3. Cook 2 bacon slices in a frying pan until crispy, then transfer to a paper towel to drain and dice once cooled.

  4. Arrange the shucked oysters in the foil pockets, top each with a spoonful of the prepared sauce, and scatter with the diced bacon.

  5. Broil for 50 to 60 seconds, monitoring closely, then serve immediately.
