Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat, then sauté lamb pieces and chopped onion until browned.

Add water, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and 1 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes until the lamb is tender.

Incorporate beans, potatoes, mint, dill, parsley, cinnamon, and the remaining salt.

Return the stew to a boil, then cover and simmer for 30 minutes, adding more water if it appears dry.

Remove from heat and allow to rest, covered, for 10-15 minutes before serving.
