Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler.

  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs with oregano, salt, and pepper.

  3. In a separate shallow pan, combine Parmesan cheese, garlic, and bread crumbs.

  4. Dip steaks into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the bread crumbs.

  5. Heat oil in a heavy skillet and fry steaks for several minutes per side until golden and crispy, then drain on paper towels.

  6. Place fried steaks on a baking sheet.

  7. Top each steak with a ham slice, 2 to 3 tablespoons tomato sauce, 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning.

  8. Broil until the cheese melts.

  9. Serve warm.
