Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.

  2. Thaw one puff pastry sheet and grease a 6-cup muffin pan.

  3. Fill a large bowl with cold water and lemon juice.

  4. Core and thinly slice apples, then submerge them in the lemon water to prevent browning.

  5. Roll the thawed puff pastry into a 12x9-inch rectangle on a floured surface.

  6. Cut the dough into six 2x9-inch strips.

  7. Microwave apple jelly and apple brandy for 1 minute until softened and spreadable.

  8. Brush each dough strip with the jelly mixture.

  9. Microwave apple slices in batches for 45 seconds until pliable.

  10. Arrange softened apple slices overlapping on the top half of each dough strip, ensuring the skin side is slightly exposed.

  11. Sprinkle with apple pie spice, fold up the bottom dough, and carefully roll each strip, sealing the end.

  12. Place the rolled strips into the muffin tin and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.

  13. Cool the apple roses on a wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar just before serving warm.
