Instructions

Cut beef into 1 1/2-inch pieces.

Mash garlic into a paste, adding water if needed.

Combine garlic paste, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/4 cup chile pepper paste, 1 tablespoon cumin, 1 tablespoon salt, and 2 teaspoons pepper to create the marinade.

Pour marinade over beef and mix thoroughly.

Marinate beef overnight in the refrigerator, or for at least 1 hour at room temperature.

Prepare your grill.

Thread beef pieces onto skewers, approximately 4 pieces per skewer.

Mix 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1/4 cup vinegar, and a pinch of cumin for basting.

Grill skewers for about 5 minutes per side, basting frequently, until desired doneness.
