All Day Slow Cooker Chicken

Instructions

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients, add chicken, cover, and refrigerate for 6 to 8 hours or overnight.

  2. Place marinated chicken in the slow cooker. Bring the reserved marinade to a full boil in a saucepan, then pour over the chicken. Sauté mushrooms in butter, then add them to the slow cooker.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through.

  4. One hour before the dish finishes, stir in the drained mandarin orange sections, green peppers, and ginger.

  5. To thicken the sauce, mix cornstarch, milk, and cold water; gradually stir this into the slow cooker. Cover and cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
