Instructions
-
Preheat the air fryer to 400 F and lightly oil the basket.
-
Pat 2 pounds chicken wings dry, then toss them in a large bowl with 1 tablespoon oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
-
Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the preheated air fryer.
-
Cook wings for 8 minutes, then flip them and cook for an additional 10 to 12 minutes until crisp and golden brown.
-
While wings cook, combine 1/3 cup honey, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1 tablespoon vinegar, and 1 tablespoon minced garlic in a large saucepan.
-
In a separate small bowl, whisk 2 teaspoons cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water to create a slurry.
-
Whisk the cornstarch slurry into the sauce, then bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, reducing to low to simmer for 2 minutes.
-
Transfer the cooked wings to the saucepan with the sauce and toss to coat.
-
Return the sauced wings to the air fryer basket and cook at 400 F for 3 to 5 minutes, monitoring closely to prevent burning.
-
Serve immediately, garnished with 2 sliced green onions and any extra sauce.
