Air Fryer Hash Browns
Crispy and salty air fryer hash browns offer a healthier alternative to deep-fried versions, are simple to prepare, and can be frozen for later.

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 360 F.

Peel and shred the potatoes, then soak them in cold water for 10 to 20 minutes to draw out excess starch.

Drain and rinse the potatoes, return them to a bowl, and microwave on high for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring after each minute, to parcook.

Spread the potatoes on a paper towel-lined baking sheet and pat them completely dry.

Return the potatoes to the bowl, then mix with breadcrumbs, 1 teaspoon salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly seasoned.

Line a baking sheet with parchment. Use a scoop to form potato patties within an egg mold or round cookie cutter, then chill for 20 minutes.

Brush the air fryer basket with oil and arrange the hash browns in a single layer, cooking in batches if needed.

Air fry for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.

Sprinkle with remaining salt and serve immediately.
