A Whole New Way to Enjoy Lima Beans

A delicious Southern side dish, creamed lima beans are prepared by cooking lima beans and then combining them with cream and butter.

Instructions

  1. Start boiling salted water. Cook lima beans according to package directions, adding sugar if desired, and omitting salt for canned beans.

  2. Drain the cooked beans well.

  3. Stir cream and butter into the hot, drained beans.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.
