For Buttermilk Ranch: Mix 1/3 cup sour cream, 1/4 cup buttermilk, 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 mashed garlic clove (or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder), 2 tablespoons chopped chives, 2 teaspoons chopped dill, and 1 teaspoon lemon juice; whisk, season with salt, pepper, and optional hot sauce, then chill for 1 hour.
