30-Minute Chili With Ground Beef and Beans

Instructions

  1. Combine chili powder, dried minced onion, cumin, oregano, sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl; set aside.

  2. Brown ground beef in a Dutch oven or large sauté pan over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks.

  3. Drain the beef, then return it to the pan over medium heat and stir in the prepared chili seasoning mix.

  4. Add both cans of tomatoes, tomato sauce, and undrained black beans; stir to combine.

  5. Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Season with salt to taste.

  7. Serve with preferred cornbread, biscuits, crackers, or tortilla chips, along with shredded cheese and other toppings.
